The result is the creation of endearing characters that come to life in the hands of the little ones.
The “sombrera” is the name given to a typical hat of the Canary Islands, especially in the easternmost ones. They were used by women, especially peasants. Made by hand with hearts of palm and wheat, they were designed to protect from the sun and heat, and their flat crown allowed them to carry weight on their heads.
